Entry requirements
Applications are now open for courses starting from October 2023 onwards.
You must demonstrate a minimum level of English Proficiency to study on our English for Academic Purposes Pre-sessional course. Students must have a current English Language level suitable for the term to which they apply. Applicants with a higher level of English may be considered for a later term. This course is not suitable for advanced students (C1/C2 on the CEFR or IELTS 7.0 overall or in a subskill).
You must be 18 years old or older at the start of the course to be eligible to study the English for Academic Purposes Pre-Sessional course.
The minimum entry requirements for each term are as follows:

Accepted English language tests
We can accept a range of English Language tests, including:
- IELTS UKVI
- Pearson UKVI
