The Trinity Certificate for Practising Teachers (CertPT)

The CertPT in Teaching EAP, awarded by Trinity, is a new course developed and delivered collaboratively by the University of Manchester and Goldsmiths, University of London.

The Trinity Certificate for Practising Teachers (CertPT) is a Level 6 qualification that supports the professional development of teachers. The CertPT in Teaching EAP will develop your teaching skills by bridging the gap between English language teaching and teaching EAP in a Higher Education setting.

This interactive trainer-led course is delivered online over 10 weeks by experienced EAP educators currently practising at the two institutions. The course content has been developed around real life case studies from Goldsmiths, University of London and the University of Manchester and includes live trainer-led sessions, study group and individual study tasks.

Both University Centres are accredited by BALEAP, the sector’s professional body for those involved in teaching, scholarship and research into English for Academic Purposes. The University of Manchester’s University Centre for Academic English is also accredited by the British Council and has the greatest number of strengths of a university language centre identified by their accreditation scheme.
