Develop your academic English language skills

This pathway is suitable for anyone who wishes to develop their academic English skills for university study.

The full-time Pathway to English Language and Academic Skills (PELAS) course is delivered on campus with flexible start dates throughout the year. You can study between 5 and 40 weeks of study and you have the option to study an on campus or online Pre-sessional English course.  

Our courses are accredited by The British Council and according to the EL Gazette University Language Centre rankings from 2019-2025, we are proud to be recognised as the joint number 1 University Language Centre in the UK for the last six years.
