Find answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about our English Summer Programme.
Our campus based course runs from Monday, 30 June - Friday, 5 September 2025. You can book for a minimum period of one week and up to a maximum of five weeks.
The English Summer Programme is a campus based course. Our course fees are based on 19 tutor-led hours of study per week. This includes 12 hours of general English language classes, 7 hours of British Culture and Communication and up to five hours of guided independent study.
The maximum class size is usually 18 students.
The minimum enrolment age is 18.

Procedure for complaints
We hope you enjoy your course and experience at the University Centre for Academic English. However, if you do have cause to complain, please follow the steps below and we will do our best to resolve your complaint.
You must hold valid immigration permission (a visa) that allows you to study in the UK.
Check if you need a UK visa to study in the UK on the gov.uk website.
As of 27 November 2024, some non-visa nationals who wish to travel to the UK must apply for an ETA before they travel to the UK. ETAs are linked to your passport and they allow for multiple trips to the UK but you must not stay in the UK for more than 6 months. You can check when you will be eligible to apply for an ETA on the UKVI website.
From 5 March 2025, European nationals who wish to travel to the UK from 2 April 2025 will need to apply for an ETA before they travel to the UK.
