Pre-sessional 10 week (April) Online – how to apply

Female student holding a folder

This year, we are offering a 10-week Online Pre-sessional course with an April start date. The course content is the same as the 10-week course starting in July, but with an earlier start date. Please note that you can only study on one Pre-sessional course. If you choose to study in April, you would not be able to attend the July or August Pre-sessional courses.

To be eligible, you must already hold an offer for a degree course at The University of Manchester, or another UK university. If you hold an offer from another UK university, please check with the admissions contacts at that university to confirm they will accept the results of a University of Manchester Pre-sessional course, before you apply.

Pre-sessional 10-week (July) and 6-week course - how to apply

If you have an offer to study on an undergraduate or postgraduate degree course at The University of Manchester, you may be considered for a pre-sessional course. If you are eligible to attend our 10-week (July) or 6-week course to enable you to meet the conditions of your offer, you will see this as an offer condition in your academic course offer letter. Alternatively, these details may be provided in a separate email from the admissions team for your academic course, so please be sure to check any communications received from the University.

Pre-sessional 4-week course - how to apply

Our 4-week pre-sessional course is available to students who hold an offer for a degree course at The University of Manchester and have already met their direct English language offer condition. You must also have a minimum of IELTS 6.5 overall, with no individual skill below 6.0.

The course aims to prepare you for studying at this university and make you more confident in working in an academic environment.
